Something has to Change

Hello 2015! I was at the beach a few days ago and it was beautiful. I love being near the ocean. To see all of that bridled power, knowing the potential sitting there, stirring, restless, waiting to be unleashed. The vastness of it all really inspires me.

I feel like I am just like that ocean. I have all of this greatness inside of me waiting to be released. Waiting on what? Waiting on me.

Watch out world!

Create and Live the Month You Really Want

A month you want to wake up and live all the time!

Not living life the way you would really like to?

Is it sometimes a struggle for you to wake up each day?

Is the frustration of living a dull, predictable life a reality for you?

Do you know what you want but haven’t figured out how you’re going to do it?

Are days, months, years, slipping by?

Are you having trouble turning your days into ones that you jump out of bed for?

Do you wish your month were filled with you doing the things you really want to do?

Rest assured…

You can learn to create and live months that you really want,

You can learn how to create the month that you really want to be living and have more joy and happiness .  Creating  and living months that you really want to live doesn’t have to be stressful if you do it in a way that is authentic to who you are. And yes, planning can be fun (especially when you start seeing the results that you want, like waking up excited to start the day instead of not wanting to wake up and face the day).  And when you start creating months that you really want you are much more likely to live them too.

Sound unattainable or too much of a dream? It’s not. Read on…

Ok, so what’s not working? What are you doing wrong?

If you’re like most people I’ve met, there is so much that you want to do but you can’t imagine how you are going to get it done. You may be working hard, your days are full, and there’s hardly time to think about what you really want, much less actually do it.

The problem is not taking the time to think about what you want is not going to make your life any richer. Why? Well, think about it…Are the people you know who dream or talk about doing something happy with their lives?  You can spot a dreamer after talking to them for just a few minutes.  They talk about “what they wish they could do but…” or “what they will do one day.”   It’s sad. Unfortunately, that’s what most of us do when we try to create a month we really want. We look like talkers, dreamers. And that doesn’t give us the life we really want.

You can stop being a dreamer and talker. Here’s how…

Creating and living a month that you really want comes from understanding what you want. We usually think of living a full and exciting life as reserved for someone else, someone with more time or more money, instead of “something you have a right to live.”

And when we have the mindset that living a full and exciting life is for someone else, it doesn’t matter what we try to do, we won’t have the life that we want or need.  In Creating and Living the Month you Really Want, what works is knowing what you want. This makes all the difference in whether you create and live the life you really want.

A month that you really want starts with getting clear on what you want, mapping it out, and living it. This is not hard, especially when someone shows you exactly how to do it.

This strategy ends your frustration and disappointment. Let’s face it, who doesn’t want to have a month that you look forward to enjoying. It’s worth it, now and later.

Ok, so how can I get help in creating a month that I have always wanted?

Create and Live the Month You Really Want Teleclass will help you create meaningful days, fast.

I know the secret to ending procrastination!

It’s true, I have figured out how to end procrastination! The secret is to live in the present. That’s it. By focusing on the things that you can do now, at this moment, you can act.

When you start thinking of all the other things that need to be done to complete a task the overwhelm creeps in and you choose to do nothing.

Here’s an example. You want to clean the basement. The thought of it makes you shudder. You look at over 2,000 sq ft filled with bags, boxes, and old furniture and you put it off for another day.

Instead of thinking of all that needs to be done to have a clean basement, think of one action that you can take right now toward your goal of a clean basement. You can choose a corner and start cleaning right away. Once that corner is cleaned you’re done for the day or you can move on to the next corner.

Living in the present removes the overwhelm. It allows you to act because there is always something that you can do right now. Stop living in the future, live in the present. It’s usually better here anyhow 🙂

Let me know if you’re choosing to live in the present.

Don’t Underestimate that Walk in the Park

I LOVE nature. Being outside surrounded by old trees, water, and even the bugs invigorates me. I feel refreshed, alive, and I am ready for “what’s next” in my day.

Whenever I allow several days to go by without my time outdoors I notice the difference in myself. I am easily agitated, my to-do list becomes burdensome, I feel like I need to get away. I did not observe the correlation between my demeanor and my touch with nature right away. Once I did, however, I made sure that I spent time in my green environment regularly.

There may be an activity, a certain environment, or even a scent that makes you feel alive, that sets the reset button on the chaos brewing in your life. Don’t underestimate the simple things that can make your life more satisfying. Make these a regular part of your week and revel in the change it brings to your life.

What makes you feel recharged and ready for “what’s next”?

I can’t believe this is happening again: Self-Sabotage

Recently I have noticed that any time I make pivotal decisions concerning my goals, exhaustion sets in. I’m not kidding.  When I make the decision to take action I immediately start feeling like my body is fighting something.  I get really tired and have to lie down.  It’s as though there is a magnetic force pulling my body to my bed because I seriously have to fight to get out of it. Sometimes my head hurts, I feel achy, and I start blowing my nose.  I have all the physical symptoms of a cold or flu.

Well, after several years of this happening (I know, it took me a while) I finally started taking notice. “Hey, anytime I make a decision to move forward on something important to me, something happens to get me off course” Yup, that’s exactly what I said one day.  It was true. Whenever I was ready for change I found a way to talk myself out of it.  Where was this coming from? Why would I on purpose talk myself out of something that I wanted, something positive, and something that could change my life for the better? It made no sense.  I believed in myself.  I knew that I could accomplish anything that I set my mind on accomplishing.  What’s going on?

Here’s a little back story. Many years ago I was happily married. My husband and I were on a very good path, life was good.  I was in the last few weeks of my pregnancy and we were excited about the life we were living and the life before us. One day the story changed; my husband unexpectedly passed away. I don’t think I need to say anymore about what followed next. Just know that his death had a far reaching effect on how I lived the rest of my life. From that day until many years later, I lived my life expecting anything good to be taken from me at any minute. Well, who wants to live that way right? So, how do you protect yourself from the hurt and pain of having the things you want being stripped from you? You do what you can (sometimes on purpose, most times not) to make sure that what you want never shows up in your life.

I share this with you so that you can pause and consider your life.  Are you choosing to not go after or follow through with your pursuit of what you want in your life because of …? For me, it was fear of what I wanted being taken away. Look back in your life and see if you recognize patterns of sabotaging behaviors or actions. Don’t allow fear of what “could” happen stop you from living your life to the full. You were created to live a rich and satisfying life (John 10:10 New Living Translation, Bible).  Don’t let fear keep you from living.

What have you been allowing to keep you from living a rich and satisfying life?

Only the hurting need apply

If you’re hurting and feel like the world has let you down I want to help you.  In your life’s journey there are so many paths that you can take. Unfortunately, sometimes the path you are on leads you on a journey that has you feeling defeated and hopeless. Your journey doesn’t have to end there and I want to guide you to a path filled with hope, passion, love, joy, and purpose. If this is the path you’ve been looking for in your life I want to talk with you. https://www.timetrade.com/book/Q4QLL

Guess what’s right around the corner…2015!

I don’t want you to freak out but… I was at the bookstore a few days ago and THIS, 2015, is happening! I asked the age old question, “where did the time go?”  Whether you are ready or not, the time is going to pass.  Isn’t it better to prepare for the passage of time by filling it with activities that will give us a sense of purpose and accomplishment?

There are 179 days left until January 1, 2015.  That’s still a lot of time to plan for a pretty amazing year.  Three-hundred and sixty-five days to fill however you like.  Does that sound as exciting to you as it does to me? Grab a notebook, pull out your tablet, laptop, or cell phone and start creating a year you’ll be excited to live.

I’d love for you to share in the comments below some of the activities that you plan on doing in 2015.

You can do it but you need someone to “hold your hands”

Hi Everyone, I am offering two spots in my 6 month program for an incredible price.  If you 1) know that it is time for you to do things differently in your life so that you can create and live the life that you want and 2)  if you’re ready to implement but want someone to “hold your hands” while you implement, fill in the contact form below.

You do not have to wait for inspiration

I had a significant “aha” moment a few days ago.  I realized that I do not have to wait for inspiration. I can be inspired at any time by focusing on the things or activities that inspire me. It sounds so simple and obvious but the significance of it became so real to me at that particular moment. My life has literally changed for the better because of this revelation.

Let me tell you about me.  I wait for inspiration before doing a lot of things.  It’s frustrating because there are times when I want to create, but I am stumped because I rely so much on inspiration before I begin a project.  I would often beg and plead with God to “please let me stay inspired”.  I realize now that I should have asked how I can maintain the inspiration vs begging and pleading.  But that’s a story for another day.

Anyway, back to creating more moments of inspiration.  I can be inspired at any time by doing and thinking of things that inspire me. Whether it’s saying thanks for the goodness in my life,  going for a walk, sitting by the lake or ocean, listening to inspirational messages, reading motivating material, watching a movie, saying confessions or affirmations.  I can, on purpose, engage in activities that inspire me and guess what? Inspiration will come.

I can not tell you how excited I am about this.  Before I go I would be remiss if I did not reiterate that you play a role in this.  If you’re frustrated waiting for inspiration YOU have to create it.  Do the work and the inspiration will come.

I’d love to hear what keeps you inspired.
